In Tamil Nadu a 3 kW plant generates roughly 400 units a month at 4.5 units per kW per day, which covers a typical home running fans, a fridge and one or two air conditioners. Larger systems are allowed but the subsidy stays at ₹78,000.

Register on the National Portal
Visit pmsuryaghar.gov.in, select Tamil Nadu as your state and TANGEDCO as your discom. Enter your service connection number, consumer name and mobile number to create the application.

Apply for feasibility approval
TANGEDCO checks your sanctioned load, transformer capacity and whether your roof is technically feasible. This approval is usually issued within a few working days.

Choose a registered vendor

Install with ALMM-listed modules
